This week’s challenge took a little longer than expected. I took an older product and
recreated it into a masterpiece. I have been brainstorming for awhile how to
make this work better. I am so pleased with how this project turned out.
Tier 2 words are so important. I always think of Tier 2 as
words that we do not use in our everyday language, but we read them in text.
This activity is a great way to build vocabulary. It can be used in morning
meeting or during vocabulary block. It is an entire year worth of words , so
you never run out of ideas.
I included a completed file with answers for you as well.

How true about those tier 2 words. I taught in a high ELL population for 15 years and those were always the hardest for my kiddos and the ones we really had to target. Great masterpiece!

Thank you so much. One of the teachers I work with she loves words. She has the students use a word over the announcements daily. The kids love trying to use them in their everyday conversation. It is a blast.
